As a senior, he averaged 10.4 points per game while earning third-team all-conference honors and helping the Cardinals reach the NCAA Tournament. He also became the first player in CCIW history to lead the league with a perfect free-throw percentage, shooting 33-of-33 from the free throw line in conference play.
Moten began his collegiate career at the University of Texas-Pan American before transferring to Minnesota State University-Mankato for his sophomore season.
