Men's Golf Team Takes Sixth at Millikin

DECATUR, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's golf team wrapped up the fall portion of its 2009-10 schedule by placing sixth at the Millikin University Big Blue Fall Classic.
The Bluejays shot a two-day total of 617 to finish sixth out of 18 teams. Elmhurst finished just four strokes behind fifth-place finisher Lindenwood University. Olivet Nazarene University won the invite with a 603.
Freshman Josh Gorzney continued his strong play by tying for eighth place out of 99 individuals. Gorzney shot a 78 on day one and finished with an even par 72 to finish with a 150. Matt Cross finished just three strokes behind Gorzney to tie for 14th place. Cross shot a 75 on the first day and finished the tournament with a 78 (153 total). Josh Magee and Scott Stastny both fired identical 157s (79-78) to tie for 28th place. Billy Buchholz rounded out Elmhurst's scoring with a 161 (80-81), good for 39th place.
