Bluejay Tennis Team Edges Aurora 5-4

AURORA, Ill. - The Elmhurst College women's tennis team won its second straight match by edging out Aurora University 5-4.
The two teams split the six singles matches with each team winning three. Virginia Dallman scored a 6-0, 6-0 win over Lindsey Coakley at No. 1 singles. Shannon Dale followed with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Rebecca Papke at No. 2 singes. Blaire Hufford added a 6-4, 6-2 win over Siri Nelson at No. 4 singles.
In doubles play, the Bluejays combo of Dallman and Dale toppled Lauren Hastings and Papke 8-4 at No. 1 doubles. Alexis Ross and Stephanie Ruff combined to topple Macey Pruett and Amanda Walden 9-7 at No. 3 doubles.
Elmhurst plays at Luther College on Saturday, September 26.
