ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's cross country team totaled 553 points to place 17th at the NCAA Midwest Regional.

North Central College won the team title with 37 points while the University of Wisconsin-Platteville totaled 86 points to place second.

Pat Austin was the top finisher for the Bluejays, earning all-region honors by placing 25th in 24:45.5. Jake Austin finished in 99th place in 26:00.6. Doug Vrchota finished in 132nd place in 26:34.1 while David Melone finished in 145th place in 26:46.9. Jeff Camp completed the race in 155th place (26:56.9) to finish the Bluejays' team score. Nathan Selling (169th place in 27:07.4) and Jeff Slavick (170th place in 27:12.5) rounded out the Bluejays' top-seven.
