ELMHURST, Ill. - Elmhurst College's Lyndsie Long has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's (CCIW) Player of the Week in women's basketball for the fourth time this season.

Long, a senior forward, broke or tied six records last week while averaging 37.5 points per game. On Wednesday (February 10), Long broke or tied five records while scoring 45-points in the Bluejays’ 85-84 loss at the buzzer to nationally-ranked Carthage. She finished the game with 45 points and 11 rebounds while shooting .571 (16-of-28) from the floor and .615 (8-of-13) from beyond the arc. Long set a new Elmhurst single-game record for points (45), and three-pointers (eight) while tying a school-record for field goals made (16). She also broke the CCIW’s single-game scoring record of 40 while tying the conference’s single-game field goal record.
On Saturday, Long finished with 40 points, six rebounds and four assists while leading Elmhurst to a 75-68 win over North Park. In the process, she became Elmhurst’s all-time leader in three-pointers with 160 for her career. She now needs just 11 points to become Elmhurst’s all-time leading scorer. For the week, Long averaged 37.5 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting .540 (27-of-50) from the floor, including .632 (12-of-19) from three-point range.
