CCIW Championship Results
NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The Elmhurst College track and field teams competed at the 2010 CCIW Indoor Championships at North Central College. The women's squad scored a sixth-place finish while the men's team placed seventh.
On the women's side, the Bluejays totaled 14 points to place sixth. Illinois Wesleyan University captured the conference crown with 252 points.
Katlyn Bednarski was the top individual finisher for Elmhurst, earning a pair of all-conference honors. Bednarski placed fifth in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:41.70 and added a sixth-place finish in the 5,000 meters in 18:37.46.
Rebekah Clark added an all-conference finish by placing eighth in the 3,000 meters in 11:00.07.
Erin Thomson earned all-conference accolades in the weight throw by placing seventh with a throw of 44-00.75.
Elmhurst's distance medley relay team scored three points with a sixth-place finish in 13:21.18, while the Bluejays' 4x400 relay team scored a point by placing eighth in 4:39.67.
On the men's side,
Rodney Payton was the only Bluejay to earn individual all-conference honors. Payton placed fifth in the long jump with a mark of 21-05.25 to earn all-conference accolades.
The men's distance medley relay team finished in sixth place with a time of 10:54.91 to score three points. The 4x400 relay squad added a sixth-place finish in 3:30.77 to score the remainder of Elmhurst's team points.
