CHICAGO, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's and women's track and field teams began the 2010 outdoor season by competing at the Chicagoland Championships at the University of Chicago.
The men's team placed 21st by scoring two points while the women's team did not have a team score.
On the men's side, the Bluejays scored both of its team points in the relays. The 4x400 squad placed eighth with a time of 3:29.6 while the 4x800 team finished eighth in 8:47.67.
Matt Forster scored a top-15 finish in the 400 hurdles by placing 12th with a time of 59.41. Forster added a 13th-place finish in the javelin with a throw of 144-4.
Drew DeJarnette added a 15th-place finish in the steeplechase with a time of 11:09.9.
On the women's side,
Tracy Brtis finished 11th in the 100 hurdles in 16.99 seconds.
Kate Pilson added a top-15 finish in the shot put, by placing 12th with a throw of 35-1.75. Pilson added a 15th place in the discus with a throw of 115-1.
Haley Ervin finished 15th in the javelin with a mark of 86-5.
