LISLE, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's and women's track and field teams ran at the Benedictine University Invitational.
No team scores were announced for the meet, but the Bluejays had several top-10 finishes.
On the men's side,
Jake Austin finished fifth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:00.82 while
Matt Forster placed fourth in the 400 hurdles (58.61 seconds). Elmhurst's 4x100 relay team of
Jon Janus, Kurt Kibler, Kyle Kibler, and
Mark D'Angelo finished seventh in 44.83 seconds.
Ryan Bock added a ninth-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 12.66 meters.
For the women,
Katlyn Bednarski was the top finisher for the Bluejays, placing second in the 5,000 meters with a time of 18:20.72.
Amanda Andersen placed ninth in the 1,500 meters in 5:12.20 while
Tracy Brtis finished sixth in the 100 hurdles in 17.20 seconds. Brtis also finished ninth in the 400 hurdles in 1:12.30.
Hannah Williams added a fifth-place finish in the steeplechase, crossing the finish line in 12:47.16.
Kate Plison finished fifth in the shot put (11.42 meters) while
Whitney Roth placed eighth in the discus (35.31 meters).
