ELMHURST, Ill. - For the first time in over a decade, the Elmhurst College softball team has earned a regional ranking in the latest NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region Poll.

The Bluejays are currently ranked seventh in the Great Lakes Region. Elmhurst is one of four CCIW teams to appear in the regional rankings. Carthage College, Illinois Wesleyan University, and North Central College occupy the top three spots in the poll. The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is ranked fourth while the University of Wisconsin-Superior is ranked fifth. The University of Chicago is ranked sixth.

Elmhurst carries a 21-15 overall record into their final doubleheader of the season at Lawrence University on Saturday, May 1. With 21 victories, Elmhurst has surpassed the 20-victory mark for the first time since the 2000 season. The seven CCIW victories is also the most wins in conference play since the 2000 squad finished 7-7.
