Amanda Bowlin has been named to the NFCA All-Region third team for the Great Lakes Region.
Bowlin, a junior first baseman, recently earned first-team all-conference honors from the CCIW after recording a team-leading .395 batting average and 49 hits. She drove in 21 runs and scored 20 runs, ranking second on the squad in both categories. Bowlin saved some of her best performances for conference games, hitting a team-high.409 in 14 CCIW contests. She drove in a league-best 13 runs while her batting average ranked as the third highest in the conference.
A two-time all-conference selection in her career, Bowlin has three-year career totals of 110 hits, 55 runs scored, 50 RBI, and a .336 batting average.
Elmhurst closed out the 2010 season with a 22-16 overall record and a 7-7 mark in conference play. The team also earned its first-ever regional ranking from the NCAA.
