ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College baseball team fell to 8-28 overall after suffering a 15-6 loss to Robert Morris University-Chicago.

Robert Morris (32-16) jumped out to a 5-0 lead after scoring two runs in the first and third inning and plating another run in the fourth. After Elmhurst pulled to within two runs after the seventh, Robert Morris blew the game open with seven-run eighth inning. 

Robert Morris tagged Elmhurst pitchers for 17 hits while the Bluejays were limited to only seven hits.

Joe Kennedy collected two of the Bluejays' seven hits and drove in a pair of runs for Elmhurst.  Dan Matkovic, Mike Kerr and Marc Shield also drove in runs for the Bluejays. 

Alex Lopez took the loss for the Bluejays.Lopez (0-3) made the start and surrendered nine hits and five earned runs. 

Elmhurst travels to Schaumburg's Alexian Field on Friday, May 7, to take on Wheaton College.
