CHICAGO, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's cross country team scored 138 points to place fifth at the 2011 CCIW Championship at Montrose Harbor.

North Central College scored a perfect 15 points to win the team title. Wheaton College finished second with 53 points while Augustana College took third with 76 points. Illinois Wesleyan University totaled 120 points to place fourth. Carthage College finished 20 points behind the Bluejays in sixth place (158 points). Millikin University (214) and North Park University (250) placed seventh and eighth, respectively.

Jake Austin earned all-conference honors for the Bluejays by placing 13th overall in 26:08.40. Doug Vrchota finished in 31st place by completing the course in 27:14.22 while Will Cross finished 35th in 27:28.89. David Melone ran the race in 27:44.69 to place 38th while Jordan Bartolazzi finished in 48th place (28:16.35) to round out the Bluejays' team score. Nathan Selling (52nd place in 28:34.64) and Jeff Camp (54th place in 28:48.22) completed the Bluejays' top-seven.

Elmhurst runs at the NCAA Midwest Regional on November 12.
