Scottie Williams has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Offensive Player of the Week after his 235-yard outburst in the Bluejays' 59-6 victory over North Park University.
Williams, a junior from Downers Grove South, ripped of a career-high 235 rushing yards and scored three touchdowns on just 19 carries in Elmhurst' CCIW-opening victory. His 235 yards tied the second-highest single-game rushing total in Elmhurst history and he became the first Bluejay to run for more than 200 yards in a game since the 1995 season. He scored on touchdown runs of two, 32, and nine yards while averaging a whopping 12.4 yards per carry.
Williams currently leads the Bluejays in rushing, totaling 457 yards and five touchdowns. He's averaging 114.2 yards per game. He ranks third in Elmhurst history in career rushing yards with 2,240. His 23 career rushing touchdowns ranks as the fourth-highest career mark in Elmhurst history.
Elmhurst (3-1, 1-0 CCIW) travels to Wheaton College on October 8.
