LISLE, Ill. - The Elmhurst College women's cross country team totaled 89 points to place third out of nine teams at Benedictine University's Eagle Invitational.
Lewis University captured the team title with 28 points. The University of St. Francis placed second with 52 points. The host Eagles of Benedictine finished fourth behind Elmhurst with 143 points.
Lauren Williams was the top finisher for Elmhurst, crossing the finish line in ninth place with a time of 24:32.
Mariola Grzybowska added a 16th-place finish by completing the course in 25:11.
Hannah Williams placed 21st with a time of 25:17 while
Maria Luna added a 29th-place finish in 25:55.
Elyse Christofanelli completed the Bluejays' team score by placing 31st with a total time of 26:08.
Kelsey Plefka finished the course in 27:13, good for a 47th place finish, and
Rachel Gibson added a 54th place finish (27:35) to round-out the Bluejays' top-seven.
Elmhurst runs at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational on October 15.
