Reynolds & Morgan Earn All-America Honors

Elmhurst College's Megan Reynolds and Perrie Morgan have both earned All-America honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

Reynolds was chosen as a second-team All-American while Morgan earned honorable mention All-America accolades.

Earlier this season, Reynolds was named to her second consecutive first-team all-region and first-team all-conference squads. She led the squad in kills (415), kills per set (3.12), hitting percentage (.367), blocks (163), and blocks per set (1.23). Her .367 hitting percentage is the fourth-highest single-season total in Elmhurst history while her 163 blocks is the sixth best single-season total.

Reynolds led the CCIW in blocks per set (1.46 in league games) while ranking fourth in kills and fifth in hitting percentage. She currently ranks 13th in the nation in blocks per set while ranking 20th in the nation in hitting percentage

Morgan, a junior libero, earned the first All-America honor of her career after earning first-team all-region honors last week. A first-team all-conference selection this season, Morgan ranked as the team's leader in digs (686) and digs per set (5.36). She also ranked fourth on the squad in service aces with 22. A second-team all-conference selection in 2010, Morgan ranked third in the CCIW in digs, averaging 5.17 per set. Her 5.36 digs per set currently ranks her 48th in the nation.

Elmhurst closed out the season with a 31-6 overall record and made its first NCAA Tournament appearance since the 2005 season. The Bluejays advanced to regional semifinal round before falling to Carthage College. With no seniors on the 2011 squad, the Bluejays are set to return their entire roster next season.
