A first-team academic all-district selection, Williams was one of the nation's best running backs on the field and in the classroom.

Williams carried 224 time and eclipsed his own single-season Elmhurst rushing record with 1,374 yards. He ranked 11th in the nation in rushing and totaled 10 touchdowns on the ground. He earned first-team All-CCIW honors and second-team All-North Region honors from D3football.com. Williams led the CCIW in rushing yardage totaling 1,152 yards in seven league contests becoming the conference's first 1,000-yard rusher since the 2004 season. He moved into third place on Elmhurst's career rushing list with 3,157 yards.

A marketing major, Williams maintains a 3..46 grade-point average.

Williams helped the Bluejays finish the season with a 6-4 overall record and a fourth-place finish in the CCIW (4-3 record).

Williams is the 31st overall Elmhurst student-athlete to earn Academic All-America honors. He is the 24th Bluejay to achieve the honor since the 2000-01 season. He is the third football player to earn the honor in the past four years.

The Capital One Academic All-America teams are voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). This is the first year of the expanded Academic All-America program as CoSIDA has doubled the amount of student-athletes honored by separating the former College Division (comprised of all non-Division I schools) into separate Divisions for NCAA Division II and NCAA Division III participants. The new College Division combines NAIA, Canadian, and two-year institutions.
