ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's track and field team scored 10 points to place eighth at the 2011 CCIW Championship hosted by Augustana College.

North Central College reclaimed the team title with 284 points. Augustana College placed second with 243 points while Carthage College took third with 101 points. Wheaton College (73 points) placed fourth while Illinois Wesleyan University (56 points) finished fifth with 56 points. Millikin University (36 points)and North Park University (16 points) placed sixth, and seventh, respectively.

Pat Austin scored a pair of all-conference finishes for the Bluejays in two distance events. Austin placed sixth in the 10,000 meters with a time of 31:44.33. He added an eighth-place finish in the 5,000 meters by crossing the finish line in 15:32.07.

Mark D'Angelo earned all-conference honors in the 400 meters by placing eighth with a time of 49.59 seconds.

The Bluejays added five team points in the relays. The 4x100 squad placed sixth in 43.00 seconds while the 4x400 team placed seventh in 3:27.17.

The top eight individuals and the top four relay teams earn all-conference honors for each event.
