NORMAL, Illinois - The Elmhurst College women's cross country team took home ninth place in the college division of the Illinois Intercollegiate Championships hosted by Illinois State University on Friday.

Lauren Williams was the top runner for Elmhurst, taking 54th in the college division and 103rd overall out of nearly 300 runners from across all divisions of Illinois colleges. Williams checked in with a time of 20:02. Mariola Grzybowska wasn't too far behind, clocking in at 20:05. Maria Luna was also among the top finishers for the Bluejays, chasing home a time of 20:09. Hannah Williams and Elyse Christofanelli posted identical times of 21:35 to round out the scorers for Elmhurst, who finished with a score of 302.

Elmhurst is off until a trip out west to California on October 1 to take part in the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational.
