ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College women's cross country team totaled 176 points to place sixth at the 2011 Elmhurst Earlybird Invitational at Eldridge Park.
The University of Chicago won the team title with 27 points while Lewis University placed second with 71 points. St. Francis totaled 74 points to place third.
Lauren Williams was the top performer for the Bluejays, placing 34th overall with a time of 17:02.2.
Mariola Grzybowska finished just three places behind, crossing the finish line in 37th place with a time of 17:08.6.
Hannah Williams finished the course in 17:09.2, good for 39th place overall. A pair of freshman rounded out Elmhurst's team score.
Charlotte Murphy placed 46th in 17:27.7 while teammate
Elyse Christofanelli finished right behind in 47th place with a time of 17:27.7.
Lauren Baldacci (54th place in 17:55.0) and Delanie Dineen (55th place in 17:58.4) rounded out the Bluejays' top-seven.
Elmhurst runs at the Illinois Intercollegiate Championships at Illinois State University on September 16.
