HARTFORD, Wis. - The Elmhurst College men's golf shot a two-day score of 477 to place third at the Wisconsin Lutheran College Invitational at Washington County Golf Course.
Originally scheduled for 36 holes, the two-day event was shortened down to 27 holes after rain halted the first day after only nine holes.
Carthage College won the team title with a 448. Webster University edged Elmhurst by one stroke (476) to place second.
Jordan Christensen was the top finisher for the Bluejays, shooting a 117 to tie for sixth place. Christensen totaled a 40 on day one before shooting a 77 on day two.
Joe Johnston tied for 11th place with a 120. After shooting a 44 on the first day, Johnston carded a team-leading 76 on the tournament's second day.
Tyler Beyak tied for 20th place by shooting a 123. Beyak shot a 42 on day-one and finished the second day with an 81.
Evan Haase and
Mike Somone tied for 36th place after they both totaled a score of 129. Haase shot a 43 on day one and finished day two with an 86. Somone shot a 50 on day one, but carded a 79 on day two.
Grant Yoder shot a team-leading 39 on the tournament's first day but had to withdraw on day two.
