RIVER FOREST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's track and field team totaled 23 points to place 10th out of 12 teams at Concordia University-Chicago's Cougar Invitational.
North Central College won the team title with 228 points. Harper College placed second with 87.5 points while Concordia-Chicago placed third with 84 points.
Jake Austin was the top individual finisher for the Bluejays by winning the 800 meters. Austin scored 10 points for the squad by completing the race in a winning time of 1:57.94
Kurt Kibler placed fifth in the 200 meters by crossing the finish line in 22.92 seconds.
Elmhurst scored seven points in the 5,000 meters with a pair of top-eight finishes.
Doug Vrchota placed fourth with a time of 16:09.54 while
Jeff Camp crossed the finish line in 16:27.08, good for seventh place.
Will Cross added two points for the squad with a seventh-place finish in the 1,500 meters. Cross finished the race in 4:14.02.
