OAK BROOK, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's golf team shot a one-day total of 337 to place fourth at the Bluejay Classic at Oak Brook Golf Club.
Carthage College had the top two squads at the Invitational. The Red Men won the team title with a 316 while the Carthage "B" team placed second with a 328. MSOE edged Elmhurst for third place with a 337.
Competing as an individual,
Evan Haase turned in the strongest performance for Elmhurst. Haase carded an 81 to tie for eighth place.
Mike Somone finished one stroke behind Haase with an 82 to tie for 10th place. Joe Johnson finished the round with an 83, tying for 13th place in the process.
Nick Dylla finished two strokes behind with an 85 (tied for 18th place) while
Grant Yoder carded an 87 to finish tied for 24th place.
Tyler Beyak rounded out the Bluejays' team score with a 91 (tied for 35th place).
Jimmy Critchfield and
Jon Gill shot a 93 and 94, respectively, while competing as individuals. Critchfield tied for 45th place while Gill finished in 48th place.
The Bluejays compete at the University of St. Francis Invitational tomorrow (April 10).
