ELMHURST, Ill. - For the second time in three weeks, Elmhurst College's Jake Austin has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

On Friday, Austin traveled to Michigan to compete in Hillsdale College's Gina Relays. The Elmhurst junior crossed the finish line in 9:13.95 which currently ranks as the fastest time in the CCIW and the 12th fastest time in all of Division III.

Two weeks earlier, Austin turned in the eighth fastest time in the nation in the 1,500 meters at Benedictine University's Eagle Invitational.

Austin earned all-CCIW and all-region honors during the cross country season. He also qualified for the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships.
