Harbert and Jung Net All-CCIW Honors

ELMHURST, Ill. - For the second consecutive season, Elmhurst tennis players Alex Harbert and Will Jung have been named to the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's All-Conference Men's Tennis team.

Harbert earned his second straight first-team honor while Jung was named to the second-team and was chosen as the MVP of the CCIW Championship for the second straight year.

Harbert finished the season with an 18-10 overall record in singles competition. Competing at No. 1 singles for the entire year, he posted a 15-8 mark in dual competition. Harbert finished the year with a 20-8 record in doubles action. He teamed with Jung to post an 18-7 doubles record while competing at No. 1 doubles. A two-time first-team all-conference selection, Harbert has a career record of 29-17 in singles and a 35-16 record in doubles contests.

Jung earned the second straight second-team selection of his career by finishing the season with a 15-12 overall singles record. Competing primarily at No. 2 singles, Jung posted a 13-9 mark. In doubles play, he finished the year with a 19-9 overall record, including an 18-7 record at No. 1 doubles when paired with Harbert.

At the CCIW Championships, Jung posted a 2-1 record in singles play and a 2-1 mark in doubles action to help the Bluejays place second in the conference. He scored a key 6-4, 6-2 win over Carthage's Daneric Hazelman in the semifinals to help the Bluejays earn a 5-4 win over the Red Men.

The Bluejays finished the season with a 15-9 overall record and return five starters from their singles lineup in 2013.
