ORLANDO, Fla. - The Elmhurst women's tennis team slipped to 3-10 on the season following losses to Hamline University and Kalamazoo College in Orlando, Fla.
Elmhurst dropped a 7-2 decision to Hamline to open the day before falling 9-0 to Kalamazoo in a rescheduled match that was postponed from Sunday.
HAMLINE 7, ELMHURST 2 - Annie Duggan scored Elmhurst's only singles point, scoring a 6-2, 6-7, 10-8 win over Carissa Wallerich at No. 1 singles. Hamline won the remaining five singles contests. Cassie Rammage downed
Nicole Darga 7-6, 6-1 at No. 2 singles while Rachael Barnes upended
Lauren Kuehn 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles. Emily Butler toppled
Ragan Wilson in three sets at No. 4 singles (6-7, 6-1, 10-8). Shamara Dewearatchi downed Brittany Buehn 6-4, 6-4 at No. 5 singles. Elizabeth Hughes used three sets to get past
Jennifer Guenther at No. 6 singles in three sets (3-6, 6-2, 10-8).
Elmhurst scored a point at No. 1 doubles when Darga and Duggan combined to defeat Wallerich and Barnes 8-5. Rammage and Dewearatchi scored a 9-7 victory over
Lauren Kuehn and
Brittany Kuehn at No. 2 doubles while Hughes and LeeAnna Marthe downed Guenther and Wislon 9-7 at No. 3 doubles.
KALAMAZOO 9, ELMHURST 0 - Elmhurst was swept in all nine contests by Kalamazoo, slipping to 3-10 in the process.
Sarah Woods downed Duggan 6-1, 6-4 at No.1 singles and Jenna Riehl followed with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Darga at No. 2 singles. Kelsey Moran blanked
Lauren Kuehn 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles and Anna Latala downed Wilson 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4 singles. Olivia Bouchard shut out

In doubles play, Woods and Bouchard defeated Duggan and Darga 8-1 at No. 1 doubles while Riehl and Latala blanked Lauren and
Brittany Kuehn 8-0 at No. 2 doubles. Moran and Zhang downed Wilson and Adams 8-4 at No. 3 doubles.
