After the final point, Elmhurst fans displayed a banner to congratulate hall on the win.
"I really don't think of 500 wins as much more than a mark of longevity" said Hall. "But, I know that reaching 500 wins also means we've had some very successful teams that I've coached in my 20 years at Elmhurst. I really credit a lot of our success to our entire coaching staff. I wouldn't be talking about 500 victories without their help in recruiting and building our program into a national contender.
Hall was pleased with the Bluejays' performance in their first two matches but believes the team can continue to improve.
"There were definitely some early season jitters at times, but I thought for our first two matches we played well. There were a few areas that we'll look to improve upon tomorrow."
Elmhurst plays Lake Forest College at 11:00 am before facing 12th-ranked University of Chicago at 3:00 pm on the tournament's second day.
